The project
Jobs studies the body language of three occupations — card dealer, music conductor and painter — and the emotional extremes attached to work: pleasure, passion, frustration, resistance and dissatisfaction.
The piece turns recognisable working gestures into a physical language about the psychological relationship between a person and what they do every day.

Jobs starts from the recognisable physical language of a card dealer, a music conductor and a painter. By separating everyday gestures from their practical purpose, the work exposes how occupation can shape posture, rhythm, identity and emotional experience.
